Tummii ("we," "us," or "our") is committed to protecting the privacy of our users. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use the Tummii mobile application and website.

Tummii is a data interpretation and pattern tracking tool designed to help parents track dietary intake, bowel patterns, and related health observations for their children. Tummii does not provide medical diagnoses, treatment recommendations, or replace the advice of qualified healthcare professionals.

Data we collect

We collect information that you provide directly to us, including:

• Account information: Email address, name, and password when you create an account.
• Child profile data: Your child's first name (or nickname), age, biological sex (optional), and relevant health context you choose to share.
• Meal and dietary data: Food items logged (via camera or text), including texture, color, hydration, and nutritional information processed by our AI systems.
• Bowel and symptom data: Bristol stool scale entries, frequency, and associated symptoms.
• School Mode data: School schedule preferences and inferred meal occasions during school hours.
• Food expansion data: Food Chain progress and Food Stretching step completion.
• Report data: Clinical reports generated from your tracked data.
• Mailing list: If you subscribe to our mailing list, we collect your email address.

How we use your data

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide, maintain, and improve the Tummii application.
• Generate correlation analyses between dietary intake and bowel patterns.
• Calculate gut health scores based on stool quality, frequency, fiber, and hydration data.
• Power Food Chain and Food Stretching recommendations.
• Create clinical reports that you can share with your child's healthcare provider.
• Send you updates about Tummii if you have opted into our mailing list.

We do not sell your personal data to third parties. We do not use your child's health data for advertising purposes.

Data storage & security

Your data is stored securely using Supabase (ca-central-1 region), with row-level security (RLS) enabled on all user tables. Data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest. We implement industry-standard security measures including authenticated-role-only access policies and function search_path hardening.

Third-party services

Tummii uses the following third-party services:

• Supabase: Database hosting and authentication (ca-central-1, Canada).
• Google Gemini: AI-powered food identification and nutritional analysis. No personally identifiable information is sent to Gemini.
• Mailchimp: Email mailing list management (website only).

Children's data

Tummii is designed for use by parents and caregivers. The app is not intended for direct use by children. All child health data is entered, controlled, and managed by the parent or guardian account holder. We apply additional safeguards including row-level security policies tied to the authenticated parent account.

Your rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your data and your child's data. For residents of Ontario, Canada: Tummii handles health information in accordance with the Personal Health Information Protection Act (PHIPA).

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated policy and updating the "Last updated" date.
